About Chef Iman

My name is Iman, and for over 15 years I’ve dedicated my life to one mission: delivering the true taste of authentic Iranian cuisine—the way it’s meant to be experienced.

I built my culinary foundation in Iran, serving as a head chef in well-known restaurants including Restaurant Ziba and Shandez Restaurant, where tradition, technique, and consistency matter every single day. Later, I spent five years as a head chef in Tajikistan, expanding my experience and learning how to craft Persian flavors for a wide range of cultures and preferences—without ever compromising authenticity.

Today, I’m proud to be in Houston, bringing that same expertise and passion to Shandez Persian Grill. Here, every dish is prepared with care, precision, and respect for Persian culinary heritage—from charcoal-grilled kebabs with bold smoky flavor, to slow-cooked, richly seasoned stews that taste like home.
